About Christopher Wool
Christopher Wool is a painter whose practice combines text-based imagery with abstraction, repetition and erasure. His stencilled word paintings compress phrases into bold black letters against white backgrounds. Later works use silkscreen, layering and overpainting, examining how an image is made, revised and read across painting and printmaking.
