Grayson Perry

Grayson Perry is a British artist known for his ceramics, tapestries, and exploration of identity, class, and gender. Born in Chelmsford in 1960, he studied at Portsmouth Polytechnic and rose to fame in the 1990s with his intricately decorated pots that mix traditional craft with social commentary. He won the Turner Prize in 2003 and is also widely known for his cross-dressing persona, Claire, and public engagement through writing and broadcasting.
