Andy Warhol was an artist, filmmaker, and leading figure of the Pop Art movement. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1928, he studied commercial art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology. He gained fame for his iconic screenprints of Campbell’s Soup Cans and celebrities like Marilyn Monroe. Through his studio, The Factory, Warhol became a central figure in the New York avant-garde, blending art, celebrity, and media in groundbreaking ways that continue to shape contemporary culture
