Banksy
Banksy is a street artist and political activist. Believed to have been born in Bristol, England in the early 1970s, his true identity remains anonymous. Emerging from the underground scene in the 1990s, Banksy gained international recognition for his stenciled graffiti works, which combine dark humour with sharp social and political commentary. His art has appeared on streets, walls, and bridges around the world, often addressing themes such as war, consumerism, and authority. Despite his anonymity, Banksy has held major exhibitions and directed the Academy Award-nominated documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010), solidifying his influence as one of the most significant contemporary artists of his time.
