Antony Gormley

Antony Gormley is a sculptor known for his explorations of the human form and its relationship to space. Born in London in 1950, he studied archaeology, anthropology, and art history at Trinity College, Cambridge, before attending Central Saint Martins. Gormley gained prominence in the 1980s with body-cast sculptures that reflected themes of presence, absence, and embodiment. In 1994, Gormley was awarded the Turner Prize, and in 2014 was knighted for his services to the arts.
