Peter Blake

Sir Peter Blake is a British pop artist best known for co-designing the iconic album cover for The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Born in Kent in 1932, he studied at the Royal College of Art and became a leading figure in the 1960s Pop Art movement. His work often features collage, bright colours and imagery from popular culture. Blake has had a lasting influence on British art and was knighted in 2002 for his contributions.
