About Banksy
Banksy is an anonymous street artist whose stencil-based imagery combines dark humour with social and political commentary. Recurring subjects include rats, authority, consumerism and war. His practice extends from interventions on streets and buildings to prints, exhibitions and film, with crisp silhouettes and economical compositions allowing familiar images to travel between different settings and formats.
