
Helmut Newton
Helmut Newton was a German-Australian photographer known for his provocative fashion and portrait photography. Born in Berlin in 1920, he fled Germany in 1938 and eventually settled in Australia. He gained international fame in the 1970s and '80s for his bold, erotic images published in Vogue and other major magazines. Newton’s work often explored power, glamour, and sexuality, blending elegance with subversion. He died in 2004, leaving a lasting influence on fashion photography and visual culture.
