Jenny Holzer

Jenny Holzer is an American conceptual artist known for her use of language in public spaces. Born in Gallipolis, Ohio in 1950, she studied at Ohio University and the Rhode Island School of Design. Holzer gained prominence in the late 1970s with her Truisms series, short, provocative statements displayed on posters, LED signs, and architecture.
