Lithographs
Explore lithographs by established modern and contemporary artists, selected by Dovehouse Contemporary. Browse our David Hockney and Gerhard Richter collections, checking the technique and edition details of each work.
About Lithographs
Lithography is based on the resistance of grease and water, traditionally using a prepared stone or metal plate. It can retain the immediacy of drawing while allowing an image to be printed in a controlled edition.
Collecting Lithographs
Compare the exact technique, paper, edition, signature and publication details for each work. Colour stability, margins, surface condition and any conservation history are particularly important when assessing an impression.
Each listing records the available medium, dimensions, edition and signing information. Request a condition report, additional photographs or worldwide delivery details.
